Humphrey Chetham Club

Named after Humphrey Chetham, the visionary Mancunian businessman who founded Chetham’s School and Chetham’s Library in 1653, the Humphrey Chetham Club carries forth his important legacy.

Members support Chetham’s with a minimum gift of £1,000 pa, and:

  • Enjoy our intimate lunches* with a glass of wine and an exclusive concert by Chetham’s students. As a Member you will be invited to an exclusive programme of private lunches with an opportunity to meet some of the students in some of Manchester’s oldest buildings.
  • Drinks Reception** from time to time we will host a private drinks reception prior to some of our more special events, such as Chetham’s Symphony Orchestra (CSO) performances. As a Member you will be invited to the drinks reception.

Membership supports Chetham’s capital projects. Our capital projects have transformed Chetham’s with the opening of the New School Building in 2012, the demolition of the Palatine Building and the opening of The Stoller Hall in 2017, the Humphrey Chetham Members have been our biggest supporters every step of the way.
