Library Patrons Peace Trail
- Friday 22 June 2018 - 1pm - 3pm
Join us for a fascinating walking tour of Manchester’s key political and historical sites, finishing at Chetham’s Library for coffee and cake.
This tour will explore sites connected with Manchester’s growth as the world’s first industrial city, and its importance as a centre for peace and significant political activity, including: Peterloo, the Suffragette movement, Alan Turing and LGBT rights, the campaign against slavery and the Nobel Peace Prize.
This is a free event for Patrons of Chetham’s Library.
As a registered charity, we rely on the support of individuals, businesses and charitable trusts to continue our work.
