Patrons Event: Exploring the Hulme Trust Archive
- Thursday 5 April 2018 - 6pm - 8pm
Explore the fascinating Hulme Trust Archive held at Chetham’s Library. The Hulme Trust dates back to the will of William Hulme, a member of a prosperous Manchester family who died 26 October 1691. The collection includes historic documents and deeds concerning land ownership and medieval life in Manchester.
Patrons are invited to enjoy us for a drink in the atmospheric Baronial Hall and enjoy a talk by Project Archivist Grace Timperley, who has been working on cataloguing the archive, and to view items from the archive which will be on display.
This is a free event for Patrons of Chetham’s Library.
As a registered charity, we rely on the support of individuals, businesses and charitable trusts to continue our work. From the care and preservation of our nationally and internationally important collection to the increased accessibility of these rare printed works, the support of the Patrons of Chetham’s Library is crucial to keeping the Library alive.
