In 2013 Zara Benyounes collaborated with pianist Jeremy Young to perform the complete Britten quartets and they have recently released their debut recording with him of the Mozart Piano Concertos.
For their Stoller Hall debut the duo will perform some of the best loved works from the French repertoire including Boulanger, Poulenc and Debussy.
Zara Benyounes enjoys an international career as a chamber, orchestral and recording musician. She is the first violinist and founding member of the prize-winning Benyounes Quartet with whom she has performed and recorded for over 14 years. Numerous accolades include prizes at international competitions and awards such as the RPS Julius Isserlis Scholarship. An advocate of new music, her quartet have commissioned and premiered a host of new works.
London born pianist Jeremy Young has a distinguished performing, composing and teaching career that has gained him a reputation as one of Europe’s most respected and versatile musicians. He is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, Head of Chamber Music at the Royal Northern College of Music and teacher of Piano and Chamber Music at Chetham’s School of Music. A founder member of the Manchester Piano Trio, Jeremy has also partnered many of the worlds most distinguished musicians including Olivier Charlier, Mark Padmore, Julian Bliss, Liwei Qin, Mengla Huang, Peter Cropper, Roderick Williams and Thomas Riebl.
