Chetham’s Library is housed in the oldest building in Manchester which has been a sanctuary of knowledge and learning for centuries. By becoming a Patron, you will enjoy special events, discover more about our collections and play a vital role in protecting the Library’s past and securing its future.  

For £25 (Griffin tier) or £100 (Eagle tier) per month, you’ll join a friendly community of Library supporters, get closer to the special items and incredible stories within our collections and enjoy a range of exclusive benefits:  

• Invitations for you and a guest to dedicated Patrons’ events, including a summer tea party and a Christmas drinks reception in the Baronial Hall  

• A welcome pack 

• Discounts on Library events 

• Priority booking for selected Library events 

• Acknowledgement as a Library Patron in our Benefactors’ Book and in our monthly newsletter 

• Librarian-led private tour for you and up to 5 guests (higher tier Patrons only)

How to join

Purchase your Patron level online.

Select your desired option and this will be added to your online basket.

If you would like to sign up via the phone, you can call the Stoller Hall box office on 0333 130 0967 (lines open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1.30pm – 4pm, Fridays 4pm – 6.30pm).
