Join Claire Robinson for a whistlestop history of Belle Vue, from relaxing pleasure gardens to spectacular theme park and international destination. Claire will introduce the origins of Belle Vue, and focus mostly on activity from 1950s onwards, including the circus, fun fair, zoo, fireworks and events. This talk will feature items from Belle Vue archive from Chetham’s Library.
