This history of the Pomander goes back hundreds of years! Made from fruit and spices, it was once used as a protection against illness and bad smells, but has now become a symbol of winter festivities, and a fragrant decoration.

Join us in the Baronial Hall for a cosy craft session, and learn how to make orange pomanders and the fascinating history behind them!

Suitable for adults and young people aged 11+.

All proceeds go towards supporting the Library’s collection and Medieval buildings.

We ask for all visitors to read the Visiting Information before booking tickets, for information about visiting and accessibility.
