Manchester Festival of Libraries: Print Me a Poem

  • Chetham's Library
  • £5.98

Print Me a Poem

Print your own poem on an ancient printing press for the Festival of Libraries!

Lemn Sissay, the Festival’s Ambassador, has kindly let us offer the opportunity to print your own poster of his poem for the occasion on the ancient wooden printing press at the Library. You can also hear about Manchester’s Tuppenny Weddings and the ‘staring lies’ told to visitors by our Bluecoat Scholars in the 1830s, as we look at what’s left of what working class visitors were shown here in the early days of industrial Manchester in the comic verse ‘Johnny Green’s Wedding’.

We’ll be running two sessions for you to choose from;

11:00 – 12:30 and 14:00 – 15:30
