Part of our Around The World in 80 Concerts series

Coming from a family of seven outstandingly gifted musicians, the Kanneh-Mason’s have grown-up surrounded by music.

23 year-old Braimah studied violin at the The Royal Academy of Music where he was also a member of their Symphony Orchestra. He has performed with the band Clean Bandit, appearing with them on The X Factor and Top of the Pops and on their No. 1 single ‘Rockabye’.

Konya, the fourth eldest Kanneh-Mason, is also a student at The Royal Academy of Music, having been awarded the Gilling Family Scholarship.

Aged 20, Konya has already played to royalty twice, at Marlborough House for Their Royal Highnesses Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in 2017, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at The Baftas in 2018.

Both have appeared on numerous television and radio programmes, most recently on BBC Radio 3 and in the BBC1 Imagine documentary, This House is Full of Music, created via Zoom during lockdown.

On a mission to demystify classical music, the siblings will join forces to play a programme of Beethoven, Elgar and Grieg for their Stoller Hall debut.
