Inside Track: A Chetham’s Outreach Event
Join professional flautists from Chetham’s expert staff for an early evening event, focussed on flutes of all shapes and sizes. Young musicians and amateur players are invited to a choice of participatory sessions, helping them to develop technique, improvisation skills and preparation for exams. For flute teachers, meanwhile, focussed professional training sessions look at successful methods to challenge, support and develop students’ performance.
Afterwards, observe Adam Walker leading a public masterclass and gain professional playing tips as he coaches young players from Chetham’s in presentation, performance and technique; and chat to representatives from Powell Flutes to enjoy specialist advice or try out instruments.
We think participants aged 11 to adult will benefit most from these workshops.
