A young pianist, Yidong Lin, from Canton, China, and currently a PhD student in Musicology at the University of Manchester. He won the first prize of individual music all-round award from the Ministry of Education of China in 2018 and graduated with First Class honours from the University of Melbourne in 2021 to further his development as a wonderful musician. He has participated in nearly 150 concerts, and this is his tenth solo concert.
After two successful concerts featuring 30 beautiful and classic anime pieces, Lin is back for one final performance that promises to be truly unforgettable. Anime music is beloved worldwide, not just from Japan, but from countless cultures across the globe. With limited time, it’s impossible to showcase them all—but this time, Lin has prepared something extraordinary.
In this grand finale, Lin will present a medley of 200 anime songs, carefully curated and adapted from popular anime soundtracks spanning from the millennium to 2024. Featuring arrangements by renowned Japanese anime pianist Animenz, this concert will be a celebration of anime music’s emotional power and cultural impact.
