You can now enjoy a new display of artwork from the University of Salford’s School of Arts & Media students.

Sound/Noise/Music/Soundscape is the latest exhibition by seven Fine Art students exploring the aesthetics of sound. Visualising the invisible has fascinated artists for over a century. Here we find the implacable silence of a stone sculpture, the soundscape of a house/home in the landscape, the inner, emotional sounds of the body/brain, and images that capture abstract synaesthesia. The artists make use of a variety of media including, painting, etching, photography, digital print, and fibre/textiles. 

Artists: Emma-Lea Bennett, Jemma Calvert, Rhyanne Clegg-Hughes, Luca Darlington, Lucy McDonald, Laura Moxon-Groves, Sam Parker.

Exhibitions are generously supported by the Haworth Charitable Trust, The University of Salford and Chetham’s Foundation.
