This entry from the diaries of John Reed seems appropriate for the cold and snowy weather many of us have been experiencing. Written seventy-four years ago tomorrow, it describes the adventures he and his schoolfriends enjoyed after waking to a snowy scene, improvising with milk crates, bowls, trays and even bricks in place of sledges.
